My Book Is Out In America!
The wait is over!
Exciting news: GIRLS® is finally out in America!! You can now order a copy here from Amazon, here from other retailers, or listen here on Audible (read by me!)
Here are some new reviews since the UK launch:
“This book is essential reading…The reader is left feeling both vindicated and deeply unsettled. Vindicated because it articulates anxieties many of us have been circling for years, and unsettled because it reveals just how thoroughly the younger generations have been captured by online consumerism.” - Stella O’Malley, The Irish Independent
“India has an authoritative, calm, and empathetic voice. Her readability and storytelling are a must for a younger audience that’s used to chatty social media posts…India’s book provides comfort and clarity to girls who are straddling two worlds and want to know which one is real.” - Elise Brandon, Christianity Today
“GIRLS® is a searing indictment of a culture that has become so decadent, so disconnected and detached that young people, desperate for love and recognition...are turning to increasingly dark and dangerous substitutes for real affection” - Nina Power, The Critic
“Like millions of others, [India] grew up in a culture that offered her everything but her civilizational inheritance. GIRLS is a must-read for those who want to understand her generation—and how the experiment is unfolding.” - Jonathan Van Maren, The European Conservative
I was also on CBS this morning! Which was very surreal but the most amazing experience, the hosts were so thoughtful and so concerned about what’s happening to girls and how we can help. I loved every minute:
To celebrate the launch, the Manhattan Institute is hosting an event with me and Rob Henderson in NYC next week! There will be cocktails, a Q&A, book signings and a chance to finally meet some of you in person. Details and tickets here.
Finally, I have some very exciting news: I’m now a contributing writer at The Free Press! I’ll be writing a lot more over there, talking about some new topics and taking my work in new directions. Here’s my latest about some of the weird reactions to the book, and why I refuse to play battle of the sexes.
Lots of other conversations in the US coming up, and I’ll be back in London for ARC in June and in California for ZOE in July. (In the meantime, if any subscribers are nearby DC or NYC, please let me know!) And if paid subscribers have any requests for future pieces, or anything new from me (Maybe an ask me anything, live Q&A, reading recommendations?) I would love to know.
Thank you, as always, for everything. I can’t wait to hear what you think.
